The following group of photos were taken of Peak Hill (NSW) Railway Station Building & Timber Platform in Novernber 1984, by Keiran Ryan. The station building was originally constructed as an "A3 Gable Roof" style. However a fire destroyed the building with the rebuild allowing for the male toilet to be placed at the Parkes end of the structure (originally it was located in the lampshed/toilet hut at the Narromine end of the platform), giving it the look of an "A4" type structure. The building is typical of many of the timber station buildings found around the state. And with a timber edged platform the complete structure shows the character of these small stations that use to exist in western NSW.
